deskmat quality & care

quality standard

there may be slight variances in the alignment of borders on deskmats. subtle alignment variances are considered acceptable. deskmats that are inspired by our osume collection series are not intended to be an exact match in colour, rather, inspired by the theme of the collection.

due to the manufacturing process, there may be slight loose threading around the edges of the deskmat where the stitching begins and ends. this is normal and can be carefully snipped off.

care

our deskmats are made of woven fabric top and natural rubber bottom which is easily washable and made to last. we recommend not to eat or serve drinks on the deskmat. if staining or spillage occurs, please wash the deskmat immediately to eliminate most stains.

deskmat cleaning methods

method 1

place the mat in cold water until entire surface is soaked, apply small amounts of laundry detergent and gently rub the surface with your hands. do not use abrasive cleaning products such as a sponge to scrub the deskmat as it may deform and wrinkle.

method 2

wash deskmat in warm water around 20-30 degrees Celsius, apply small amounts of laundry detergent and soak for about 20 minutes. gently press and squeeze the deskmat to remove excess water and air dry at room temperature

method 3

as a last resort, a washing machine may be used, however, depending on the washing machine, damages may occur and osume will not be held responsible for any damages incurred in this way. machine wash on a cold gentle cycle with mild detergent. hang to dry deskmat. do not tumble dry and do not use bleach or fabric softener.
