keyboard shelf quality & care
quality standard
we chose specific materials that meet the requirements of our keyboard shelf's use case, product capacity and price point. all shelves will exhibit a certain degree of imperfection due to the limitations of certain materials used in the manufacturing process.
weld spots
our keyboard shelf frame is made of iron and is spot welded together during the manufacturing process. these spots can be visible around the joining parts of the shelf and can cause some deformity in the metal around those areas. these welds are normal and are part of the structural integrity of the shelf.
colour uniformity
due to iron's nonporous nature, a specific painting process was chosen to coat the keyboard shelf. we used an industrial painting process that is commonly used for iron furniture to withstand rust and corrosion. this painting process is rough and will not be completely uniform. there may be some spots on the iron surface that exhibit less paint which exposes the iron or more paint splat that can be sanded down if necessary. this is considered a normal quality standard and does not affect the performance of the shelf. this is considered a normal quality standard.
wood patterns
the complementary wood piece that comes with the shelf may exhibit spots and long line streaks. this is the natural texture and surface of the wood. the optional wood accent is meant to be a complementary piece to our keyboard shelf and does not provide any structural re-enforcement.
base wobble
our shelf is constructed together with 15 separate pieces of iron manually. due to this manual production process, there will be variances in tolerances that may cause the shelf to wobble slightly. this slight wobble does not affect the performance of the shelf. if you experience any excessive wobble, please contact us via customer service at hello@osume.com
care
- our keyboard shelf is designed to hold keyboards only
- each rail can hold one keyboard
- rail guards are optional and dependent on the material of your keyboard. we do not recommend placing keyboards with brass bottom weights on our keyboard shelves due to the nature of the material and it's susceptibility to stains and oxidation (please refer to the paper manual that comes with the keyboard shelf package)
- please place heavier and larger keyboards on the bottom
- be cautious when removing and placing keyboards onto the stand
- do not lean on or use excessive force on the front of the keyboard shelf to prevent tipping
please be advised that osume does not assume responsibility or liability for any damages to keyboards due to negligence of keyboard shelf use and care. please contact hello@osume.com if you have any questions or concerns for further assistance.
